Does anyone know of a free or relatively inexpensive 3d modelling package that saves out to 3dstudio, or DXF.  prefer DirectX format(*.x), BUT WILL ACCEPT *.3ds, which is 3d studio. I am working on a virtual reality engine based on DirectX and Direct3d and Visual basic. It is going well, but I need models.
